So next time your visit your local furniture store, be sure to take a look at the recliners that they have in stock.

Get more magnesium. Studies have been done that prove that some back pain is related to lacking of magnesium in the body. Eating foods high in magnesium, such as spinach, can help. In addition, taking magnesium supplements with any other vitamins will help too. To be sure, ask your doctor to give you a blood test to check magnesium levels.

Eating a healthy diet not only helps keep your weight at a good level, but also a balanced healthy diet with plenty of Vitamin D keeps your bones strong which means your back stays strong. If you need to do a lot of reading while at work, try to do it away from your computer. Extensive reading off of a computer screen tends to lead to hunching over and other bad posture habits. You may be tempted to get up and walk around with a hurt back, thinking you can fight through the pain, but it is imperative that you give your injury proper time to heal. A pulled, strained or torn muscle will only hurt twice as much and take twice as long to heal if it's aggravated.

Have an acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture has been done for years to relieve back pain, and it has worked for many sufferers. The Chinese believe that back pain is a sign of blocked energy, and that the needles release the energy and therefore help back pain. Whether you believe in blocked energy or not, the truth is that acupuncture might help you.

Make sure you are stretching on a consistent basis if you are looking to reduce back pain! Every half an hour of office work, take a few minutes to stretch. Make sure you stretch not only your back muscles, but also your arms and shoulders! You'll find, if you make this a consistent habit, that your back pain is greatly relieved!
